More than a century ago, the Łazarz district was booming. It was then that today's ul. Matejki or the Poznań Palm House in Park Wilsona were created. The cavalry barracks were teaming with energy thanks to their prudently chosen location. It was here that military officers, officials and, of course, cavalrymen lived, being the pride of first the Prussian, then the Polish military. History has given this place a unique character.
